The Introduction

Troops,

As a newbie at this blogging assignment, I wanted to take the time to get to know the tools in my toolbag.  This is the first post I’ve made that utilizes the Windows Live Writer blogging platform.  As time is so very precious these days, I want to make it as easy on myself to perform the administrivia of this site, so I can concentrate on connecting with the troops.

Here is a photo of our rig, The Apostle.  We travel in it quite extensively, although it is currently parked during our current tour of duty in Washington, DC.

RV Cropped

The Apostle started with us in Wichita, Kansas in 1998 and has been from Florida to Alaska and from California to Maryland.  We’ve traveled with our dependents and our dog on many of these excursions.  We’ve traveled on vacation and we’ve traveled to our next duty assignment.  The Apostle has been a second home to us.

As the crusty colonel, I’ll be providing my commentary on our RV adventures.  I’ll be asking for your input as we build this site to provide us nomads with a virtual logistics support center.
