Another blog about RVing?

Why would we want to start another blog about the RV lifestyle?  Well, we’re not familiar with other blogs that cover traveling using a recreational vehicle that is targeting the family.  We’ve seen individual families blog about their RV adventures, but these are more travelogues that don’t provide much advice.  Today’s moms and dads are extremely busy with their careers and family, and are looking for concise, accurate and comprehensive ideas and suggestions on how to improve the quality of the time they spend with their families.

This blog aims to provide some of that comprehensive information regarding the RV lifestyle–how to purchase an RV, how to maintain an RV and how to locate a quality family-friendly campground.  Ultimately, we intend to provide a social-network campground database where users can provide their own ratings of individual campgrounds, but that’s in our future.

We’re busy with our own family.  We have six children–a boy, 25, and four girls, 18, 16, 7 and 2–and one in heaven.  Currently, the crusty colonel-dad is in the Air Force while mom homeschools the troops at home.  Our son is off on his own, but has endured time with us in our RV when he was still living under our roof.  We all have our likes and dislikes about RV camping, and we’ll share those on this blog.

Most of all, we want to have fun during our RV adventures.  During our ten years of RVing, we’ve had our share of good times and challenging times.  We’ve not experienced it all, but we’ve done a lot–and we’re going to share that wisdom with you.

Thanks for dropping by–we look forward to seeing you in the future.
